AC/DC Offers NYC Concert Ticket Chance With “Black Ice” Pre-Order

The official AC/DC.com online store is offering opportunities to see a special pre-tour “secret” New York City show on October 26th. The venue of the NYC show has not been announced, but AC/DC fans who pre-order AC/DC’s new Black Ice album will automatically be entered for a chance to win two tickets to this special show. All fans who have previously pre-ordered Black Ice will have a chance as well as anyone else who orders the album before October 10th.

Beginning Friday October 10th, AC/DC will email customers who have pre-ordered the new disc and fans will have 72 hours to express their desire to attend the gig. Two hundred and fifty fans will be selected to win two tickets to the NYC AC/DC secret show.

AC/DC Sells Out Concerts in Four Cities; More Shows Onsale Saturday

AC/DC put tickets for four of its Black Ice 2008 concert tour shows onsale Friday for concerts in Boston, Vancouver, Toronto and Columbus, Ohio. It is being reported that the AC/DC shows at Boston’s TD Garden and Ohio’s Schottenstein Center sold out in approximately 15 minutes, although other buyers have reported they were able to purchase tickets up to one half hour into the onsales. Toronto’s Rogers Centre and the band’s Vancouver, Canada dates also sold out in under 30 minutes.

AC/DC will put onsale tickets for the New York City, Chicago, Indianapolis, Detroit, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, New Jersey, Wilkes-Barre, Minneapolis, Seattle, Los Angeles, Phoenix, San Antonio, Atlanta and Charlotte markets on sale on Saturday morning via TIcketmaster with the band’s Oakland tickets available beginning Sunday. Online reports indicate that AC/DC will announce additional tour dates for their 2008 tour some time on Monday.

Major League Baseball Releases 2009 MLB Schedule

Although the 2008 Major League Baseball Postseason has yet to begin, MLB has already released its 2009 baseball schedule. The 2009 MLB season is scheduled to begin on April 5, 2009 with the regular season currently ending on October 4th. The World Series will begin on October 28th with a potential World Series Game 7 scheduled to be played on November 5th. Other highlights of the 2009 MLB schedule include the opening of the New Yankee Stadium on April 16th with the Yankees home opener versus the Cleveland Indians.  The New York Mets will begin play at their new Citi Field Stadium on April 13th versus the San Diego Padres.   Also of note, the Boston Red Sox will visit new Yankees Stadium on May 4th.
